Cancelling a Booking

A booking can be cancelled until its trip has started. The money paid from your wallet goes back to the wallet straight away, less the cancellation charge.

Cancellation charges

EazyGo's cancellation charges depend on how long before pickup you cancel, e.g. "less than 24 hours before pickup: 25% of the booking". The tightest matching rule applies, and cancelling well ahead is usually free. Always check with the endpoint below rather than working the charge out yourself.

charge and refund_to_wallet are null when the booking can't be cancelled any more (already cancelled, or the trip has started or finished).

POST /bookings/{reference}/cancel

Cancels the booking and refunds the wallet. No body is needed.

Cancelling twice is safe. The second request returns 409 NOT_CANCELLABLE and refunds nothing more.

The passenger, and the driver if one was assigned, are told about the cancellation automatically.
